Under The Pink Umbrella

Hello guys! It's been FOREVER since I have posted on here. Hopefully I will be better about this in the future. For this photography setting me and a couple of my friends went to Chickasaw state park. I brought along my pink chinese umbrella as a prop. I'm pretty happy about these pictures! Let me know what you think!

Communication over time.

This project was very fun making. I wanted to show time by showing how communication has changed over the years. I got some of my friends to pose like they were in the time frame the communication would have been in. The first one is just a normal conversation, the second is writing a letter, the third is someone on an old box phone, the fourth is someone on an old rotary phone, the fifth is someone talking on a cell phone, and the last one is someone talking on the internet.

Flowers of Bermuda

I took all of these flowers while I was in Bermuda as well. These are some of my favorites from the trip.

Bermuda Time!

In the Spring of 2010 I went to the island of Bermuda on a mission trip. I decided I wanted to take a series of landscape pictures while I was there. I took over 500 pictures, but don't worry, I only put 8 of them on here. Enjoy!

Moody People

In this assignment, my task was to capture the different moods of people. I tried to make the moods obvious so you would not have to wonder what I was trying to convey. The first picture I was trying to represent joy, the second picture, irritation/shamefulness, and the third picture sadness. The first picture was taken of my friend Brittany. She seems to always be happy, so I felt that she was the best person to express this mood. The second picture, I went to my school's library and got the librarian and my friend Tiffany to pose this scene. The idea was to portray a librarian getting mad at a student for being too loud in the library. The third and final picture was taken of my grandfather while he was moving his belongings out of his apartment. This was a very sad time for him for many reasons. He had just lost his wife not too long ago, and was also leaving his home of many years.

Sunny Days

This assignment was given to help me understand the settings on my camera better. All of these photos were shot in Camera RAW mode. The first three images were taken with the sun in front of the subject. The next four photos were taken with the sun to the back of the subject, and the last two photos are action shots.
